The practice nurses/healthcare assistants are available by appointment. Routine appointments can be requested for morning and afternoon. If required, please use our Request an appointment with a Nurse or Healthcare Assistant form.

Their numerous tasks include:

• Taking blood for tests (although this is usually done by the healthcare assistant)
• Infant and adult immunisation
• Dressings and removal of stitches
• Ear syringing
• Travel advice
• Cervical smears
• Clinics to monitor blood pressure, asthma, diabetes and osteoporosis

They also assist the doctors in minor surgery and are always available to offer professional advice.
