The practice nurses/healthcare assistants are available by appointment. Routine appointments can be requested for morning and afternoon. If required, please use our request an appointment with a nurse or healthcare assistant form.
Their numerous tasks include:
- Taking blood for tests (although this is usually done by the healthcare assistant)
- Infant and adult immunisation
- Dressings and removal of stitches
- Travel advice
- Cervical smears
- Clinics to monitor blood pressure, asthma, diabetes and osteoporosis
They also assist the doctors in minor surgery and are always available to offer professional advice.
